India is likely to buy 5 crore doses of pfizer covid-19 vaccine
New Delhi, Aug 11: The Centre government of India is in talks to buy 5 crore doses of Pfizer Inc and German partner BioNTech SE’s Covid-19 vaccine in the next few months, to fight against the on-going pandemic, The Wall Street Journal reported quoting sources.
It added that India is expecting to receive about 70 lakh doses of Moderna vaccine from the US through Covax.

The country recently gave its nod to the Johnson & Johnson’s Covid-19 vaccine, a move that is likely to help it tide over its supply crunch. India now has approved 5 vaccines for inoculation.
