Uttarakhand tourisms management is going to launch Slovenia like adventure cave tourism soon to several thousand year old caves.

The cave-circuit will attract alot of tourists, similar to European countries.

AZIR KHOBOR, Uttarakhand, 1 November : Uttarakhand’s tourism management got new ideas as they getting inspired by Slovenia’a incredible cave tourism. The world famous cave tourism of Slovenia consists of 8000 extraordinary oldest caves in the world. So noe the Uttarakhand government is too planning to set up its own cave tourism circuit. The caves are surveyed by scientists from the Uttarakhand Space Application Centre (USAC), and are expected to be thousands of years old. The caves are located in Sailiswar, Gupta Ganga, Vrihad Tung, Mukteshwar, Daneswar and Mailchaura areas of Uttarakhand. More details would be known after the area’s geotagging is done next month.

Experts have reported that the caves seem promising as far as tourism is concerned and they have been tagged as a part of the karst landscape which is diverse, as it creates sinking streams, springs, sinkholes, caves and other features. Also it is said that the caves have a rare ecosystem that supports ecological diversity both below and above the ground.

Slovenia thrives on adventurous cave tourism and earns almost 30% of its revenue through it. Tourists can go on underground trains and boat tours to explore the history and the mystery behind the spell-binding caves. But now we might get the same environment and feel of adventure in India very soon.
