An Unknown Covid-19 Variant detects in Bihar Laboratory: Check Details here

Patna, January 10 :  In the amid of pandemic, An ‘unknown’ variant of COVID-19 was recently detected after genome sequencing of COVID-19 samples by Bihar’s Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences.

According to the director of the institute, 32 samples had been tested for coronavirus variants, with 27 samples testing positive for the heavily mutated Omicron variant. Four samples tested positive for the Delta variant, while one was for an unknown variant of the virus.

Bihar on Sunday reported 5,022 fresh COVID-19 cases, pushing the active tally to 16,898. The cumulative death toll rose to 12,101 after one more person succumbed to the infection.
