SBI General Insurance announces its 3rd Crop Insurance Week awareness campaign under the umbrella of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Launches massive awareness activities to support farmer communities across 5 State

AZIR KHOBOR, MUMBAI , JULY 5, 2022: SBI General, one of India’s leading general insurance company, announced its 3rd ‘Crop Insurance Week’ awareness campaign. The company will conduct various activities, workshops, and training programs for farmers, supported by Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Under this campaign, SBI General will initiate awareness activities across the country in the States of Rajasthan, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Assam.

 

The awareness week will be flagged off in the presence of dignitaries from each assigned State and inaugurate the Information Education and Communication (IEC) vans. The general insurer will educate and help farmers during Crop Insurance Awareness Week in understanding all scheme features and benefits in risk protection right from standing crops, preventing sowing/planting hazards, covering post-harvest losses, securing them throughout the crop cycle. To raise awareness in these States, the company has planned several field level events engaging the farmers by way of workshops, master classes, and on-site visibility activities in order to increase interaction with the farmers and help them to understand the scheme features, its benefits, and the process of enrollment.
