IASST celebrates it’s 44th Foundation Day in Guwahati
Director and Professor Ashish Kumar Mukherjee has performed Flag hoisting ceremony
Guwahati, Nov 3: The 44th Foundation Day of the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASSTI) at West Baragaon, Guwahati, was celebrated on Thursday. The foundation day, which was held on the campus with a day-long programme, was inaugurated by the Institute’s Director and Professor Ashish Kumar Mukherjee with flag hoisting and lighting of the lamp.
Apart from this, Bari Chandrasekhar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Former Secretary, said department and Professor, INAE and IIT Kharagpur and Dr. M. Mohanty Dev, Chief Officer, Independent Programmes under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India addressed the scientists, research students, officers and staff.
Meanwhile, on this foundation day, research students who have received doctorate degrees from last year’s institute are also felicitated with certificates.
