CII Young Indians Guwahati flags off Amazing Race 3.0 Promoting Road Safety practices amongst city folks on 400th birth anniversary of legendary Ahom Army General Lachit Borphukan

Azir khobor,Guwahati, 20 November 2022: The third edition of the ‘Yi Amazing Race’ organized by Young Indians Guwahati Chapter powered by Star Cement was flagged-off today from The Residency Tourist Resort at Dispur, Guwahati. Amazing Race is a flagship road safety initiative by Yi Guwahati Chapter the youth wing of CII. The race was flagged off by members of Young Indians and Star Cement. Yi Amazing Race has been promoting the cause of Road Safety since its inception in 2019. This year we are commemorating the heroism and bravery of legendary Ahom Army General Lachit Borphukan on his 400th birth anniversary through Yi Amazing Race 3.0 .
Amrit Deorah, Chair, Young Indians, Guwahati Chapter said, “This is the Third edition of the Yi Amazing Race. The core objective of this fun treasure hunt activity is creation of awareness of road safety measures where in turn they get an opportunity to know their city better solving the clues and hurdles. Participating teams were briefed about road safety rules and they too made people aware about safety while on road”.
75 teams from across North Eastern states took part in the race, in keeping with the spirit of India @75 where they had 150 minutes to solve puzzles, find clues, use logic, and prove the power of teamwork to perform tasks to pave their path to victory whilst following and promoting road safety rules all the way.
Team 33, Arvind Agarwal and his team members emerged the winner of Amazing Race 3.0.
Nitesh Todi, Co Chair Yi Guwahati Chapter said “Yi Amazing Race has always been a thrilling experience and it embodies the very spirit of young Guwahatians. Through this Flagship event Young Indians Guwahati Chapter aims to encourage road safety practices starting from the very basic and simple act such as putting on a seatbelt”. Yi’s student wing ‘Yuva’ engages over 30000 young dynamic students from various educational streams through 130 Yuva Institutions.
