BHUBANESWAR: Odisha health minister,Naba Kishore Das was hospitalised after being shot at by an assistant sub-inspector at Brajrajnagar in Jharsuguda district on Sunday.
The minister was critical after being hit by two bullets on his chest. As per the latest reports, Das is being shifted to Apollo Hospitals in Bhubaneswar after his condition worsened.

According to police, the attacker has been identified as Gopal Das, an ASI at Gandhi Chhak police outpost.
“The minister was shot at from a close range when he came out of his car to inaugurate two new office buildings of chairman and vice-chairman of Brajrajnagar municipality. The attacker wore a khaki uniform,” a police officer said.

CM has ordered the crime branch to investigate urgently and directed to reach the crime spot.
DGP Sunil Bansal told TOI that he is reviewing the situation and would shortly share details of the circumstances, leading to the firing on the minister by the assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and his motive. The ASI has been detained
