Helicopter Service to be launch in 4 Important Cities of Assam under RCS UDAN Scheme
“Dibrugarh-Jorhat-Tezpur-Guwahati-Tezpur-Jorhat-Dibrugarh”
Pawan Hans Ltd. will be launching helicopter services on six routes in the state of Assam on 8th February 2023. PHL has been awarded 86 routes under RCS UDAN scheme in 6 states. PHL is launching its RCS UDAN services to provide connectivity on “Dibrugarh-Jorhat-Tezpur-Guwahati-Tezpur-Jorhat-Dibrugarh” network in the first phase. Subsequently, the services will be operationalized in the State of Arunanchal Pradesh.
The RCS UDAN of the Ministry of Civil Aviation is giving special impetus on providing air connectivity to the remote places of the northeastern states which have inadequate rail and road connectivity. The operationalization of these routes connecting four important cities in the state of Assam will create ease of travel for the residents of the region and give a boost to trade and tourism.
