Independence day 2023 : District Transport Department celebrates 77th independence day

Assam’s District Transport Department has also celebrated its 77th independence day at DTO in early morning on Tuesday . Assistant commissioner Gautam Das has hoisted the flag at 7:30 AM along with all the MVI officers and employees.

Bikes rally to Shillong from Guwahati was also flag off, cars rally by cars dealer’s in association with DTO was being organised in Guwahati.

Independence Day is celebrated with pomp across the nation and Indians around the globe. It is a reminder of the struggles that won us our liberation from the British Raj after nearly two centuries, the sacrifices made by the leaders, the freedom fighters who laid their lives to win Independence.

During the 77th independence day celebration at khanapara vetenery field Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the Zoo road fly over will be inaugurated before ‘Durga Puja’ festival this year.

And Maligaon fly over scheduled to take place between August 28 and September 3rd 2023.
