Viral post: Home Minister Amit Shah bow before CM Yogi Aditya Nath

An old photo showing Union Home Minister Amit Shah bowing before Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has surfaced on social media amid controversy surrounding superstar Rajinikanth touching the feet of UP CM.

In the picture, Shah can be seen bowing before Adityanath. Yoga guru Ramdev was also seen sitting next to the Chief Minister in the photo.

Rajinikanth came under sharp criticism after a picture appeared on internet showing him touching the feet of Aditynath during his visit to Lucknow.

Responding to the controversy, the filmstar said it was his habit to fall at the feet of a ‘sanyasi’ or ‘yogi’, irrespective of the age of that person.

“Whether a sanyasi or a yogi, it is my habit to fall at their feet even if they are younger than me. That’s what I did,” the 72-year-old was quoted as saying by PTI.

The actor’s gesture left his fans infuriated who questioned if it was necessary for the 72-year-old actor to touch the feet of Adityanath, who is younger to him.
