While on the other hand many senior people are also leaving the organization. In such a situation, the youth have been appealed not to join the banned organization. Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahant has expressed apprehension that many missing youths have become ULFA (I) rebels. In such a situation, he will appeal to the youth not to play Holi of blood once again. He will also ask the head of the organization that he should not include the youth in his place and if anyone goes astray and goes there, then send him back. On the other hand, the police say that ULFA (I) is using online platforms like Facebook and YouTube to woo the youth. He said that in the past, the involvement of more than 50 young men and women and married people with the banned organization is very worrying. He urged the youth to concentrate on creative works instead of going on the path of extremism. By doing this, they will not only connect with the nation but will also be able to contribute in nation building. He also strongly criticized the state government and said that the government has failed to provide self-employment to the unemployed youth. At the same time, it has proved to be unsuccessful in stopping such youths from going on wrong paths. Even the government has not run any awareness program to save the youth from being misguided.

He urged the government to take appropriate steps. Apart from this, he has also appealed to the parents to keep a close watch on their children. However, the head of the organization, Paresh Barua, has denied that there is any campaign for recruitment. In this regard, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has said that due to unemployment, people are getting upset and becoming militants. The government has failed to provide employment to the youth. They are only arranged in the battle of temple mosque. The youth is desperate and hopeless. That’s why they have been compelled to wander on the wrong path.
