The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has released new guidelines for domestic and international passengers arrivals

Amid the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has released new guidelines for domestic and international passengers arriving at the Delhi Airport.

According to the guidelines issued by the centre, all passengers will have to go through a thermal screening at the airport. The guidelines also revealed that random sampling will be done for the passengers arriving from the states witnessing a hike in coronavirus cases.

The ministry took to Twitter and shared, “Attention travellers! Travelling to Delhi? Take a look at the latest State-wise Quarantine Guidelines. Take all the necessary measures and be a COVID-19.

The ministry added, “If you are travelling on a connecting flight and not leaving the airport at a transit station, then please refer to the detailed guidelines of the respective final destination arrival state.”

Covid positive passengers will be quarantined

All the passengers who will test positive for Covid-19 will have to quarantine themselves at home or at the Covid care centres, community health centres or the hospital for 10 days.

Domestic travellers have to download the Arogya Setu app as per the guidelines.

Ban on international flights

With the rise in the number of Covid positive cases with the Omicron variant, the DGCA extended the ban on scheduled international passenger flights till January 31 next year. However, the suspension won’t apply to all international cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.
