SECURITY FORCES ORGANISE MASS YOGA DEMONSTRATION & PIPE BAND DISPLAY AT IG STADIUM WITH 46 SCHOOLS FROM KOHIMA DISTRICT
AZIR KHOBOR, KOHIMA, 23RD JUNE, 2022 : In one of its kind event, Kohima Battalion of HQ IGAR(N) under Spear Corps organised a Mass Yoga Demonstration and Pipe Band Display for Schools of Kohima District at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on 20 Jun 2022.
The event witnessed excitement, fun and wholehearted participation by 426 students and 62 Teachers/ Staff from 46 Schools from Kohima. An instructor from the internationally renowned foundation –The Art of Living conducted the Yoga session and celebrated the upcoming Yoga Day with the Students and the team of Assam Rifles.
The school children were made aware about various Yoga postures, their benefits for health and for improving focus on studies. The near one hour of Yoga session was followed by a display by the Pipe Band of Kohima Battalion in which the Pipers and Drummers mesmerised the spectators with their superlative performance.
