IOCL, Guwahati Refinery extends immediate help to District Administration to combat devastating inferno
AZIR KHOBOR, GUWAHATI, 11TH DECEMBER, 2022 : In a devastating inferno that occurred on 9th December, 2022 in late evening in Fatasil, Ambari area of Guwahati which gutted several houses in and around the highly populated area, Guwahati Refinery provided immediate assistance to the district administration in dousing and containment of fire.The blazing inferno suspected to be accelerated after several explosions of LPG gas cylinders in the area. On receiving request for assistance from district authority, immediate assistance was rendered by Guwahati Refinery to assist the district administration in dousing and containment of fire. One fire tender along with Fire & Safety crew and Fire & Safety Officer pressed into action at site to extend the help and joint operation was carried out along with many others state and central agencies at the site. District authority appreciated Guwahati Refinery for extending the valuable support at the crucial hours.
