Purv Technoplast, a subsidiary of the Purv Group- is engaged in a bottle to bottle plastic recycling project based in Nalbari, Assam. This project is the first of its kind in North East India. Apart from plastic recycling this plant has an in house water and effluent treatment facility that helps it treat and reuse its own water – minimising the usage of valuable resources like fresh water and responsibly managing its own waste.

The supplier’s meet and greet was held to push people towards government policies like Swachh Bharat Abhigyan and promote the importance of a circular economy.

Aggregators from Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Tripura and other places of Assam attended the event as Mr. Vanshay Goenka, Non-Executive director of the company – educated them about topics like – polymer segregation, significance of GST compliances, renewable energy, CBG and the future of recycling.

“Often we see heroes of our society around us – not in capes but with waste collection bags. Their efforts are mostly ignored. It’s time we recognise their hard-work and give them their due respect.” added VanshayGoenka, Non-Executive director.

The company spoke about the various support policies it is offering to all its vendors to help them further improve their collection and waste segregation – to facilitate easier and more recycling and reduce plastic waste in North-East India.

Best performing aggregators were given awards by the Managing Director, Mr. Rajeev Goenka – to appreciate their efforts and motivate them to continue with their hard work. To further motivate and incentivise people the group has offered free admission and one year scholarship for best performing aggregators’ children in their CBSE affiliated boarding school – Purv International, Durgapur and also spoke about the prospect of opening another wing of the school in Assam itself.
