An athlete from Manipur Northeast india,Mirabai Chanu’s made historic moment by winning “SILVER”medal in weightlifting on the opening day of the Tokyo Olympics, India seems to improve their medal tally with multiple events lined up on Day 2. India’s disappointment in shooting, however, continued on Day 2 as Manu Bhaker and Yashaswini Deswal have failed to qualify for 10m air pistol, finishing 12th and 13th respectively. Sania Mirza and Ankita Raina crash out of the women’s doubles after losing 6-0, 6-7(0), 8-10 to the Kichenok twins of Ukraine.
