COMPLETE LOCKDOWN HAS ANNOUNCED IN ‘KERALA’ ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

GUWAHATI, july 29: The second wave of covid-19 pandemic has hits the country worsely, though the positive cases has gone down in our country, however,still the covid-19 cases are appearing in india. since following days most of the corona active cases are vitnessing in the state of Kerala, in last 24 hour’s cases slipped down to 42,464 new cases which is a highest single  day spike 63 deaths have been reported and the positivity rate increased to 27 percent as per the “Health ministry.”

In view of a sharp spike in cases of Covid-19 being reported in Kerala, a complete lockdown will be imposed in the state on July 31 and August 1. Meanwhile, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday said that the central government will send a high-level six-member team to Kerala. The team, headed by the director of National Centre for Disease Control, will help the state in “effective public health interventions” for the management of Covid crisis.

“As a large number of cases are still being reported in Kerala, the team will aid the state’s ongoing efforts in Covid management,” Mandaviya said.

 

Kerala, with an active caseload of 1.54 lakh, is contributing 37.1% of the total active cases in the country, with a growth rate of 1.41 in the last 7 days.

 

Average daily cases being reported in the state are above 17,443. The state has also reported a high case positivity of 12.93% cumulatively and 11.97% weekly. Six districts are reporting more than 10% weekly positivity.
